Give Blair County youth a mentor who shows up the future

Would you like to change your child's life?

Show a even Brighter future

As a parent, you recognize the potential of your child better than anyone. By giving your child the opportunity to be part of Big Brothers Big Sisters, you’re starting them down a path to an even brighter, more promising future.

  • 2–4 meets up / month

  • Monthly team support

How we Match your child

It all starts with the right role models. And Big Brothers Big Sisters is the place to start a relationship with one. For over 50 years we’ve been able to recruit, screen, match, and support mentoring relationships that have changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of young people across the country. If you believe having an additional adult role model in your child’s life would be a good thing, then you’ve come to the right place.

  • We match children from Blair and Huntingdon counties with caring adult mentors.

  • Kids aged 7–16 receive friendship, guidance, and support for a brighter future.

  • Each match includes a dedicated program manager for ongoing help.

  • Volunteers are carefully screened and matched to the child’s personality and interests.

  • The program is completely free for families and multiple children from the same family can participate.

  • Commitment: 8 hours per month for at least one year.
